This last Saturday I went with my Father-in-Law, Chuck, fishing on the Clearwater. Chuck’s Twin Brothers and one of their kids also came. Instead of going on the boat we fished off the bank. Which actually wasn’t too bad. I didn’t have any luck, but the Chuck and his Brother Jerry did. They each caught 1. I didn’t even have a bite!! So Frustrating, but I had a good time. It’s really relaxing for me. Listening to Chuck’s twin Brothers bicker really makes me laugh too.
On a good note, I was able to wear my new bib-overalls that B.Maree got me for Christmas, they worked really nice, kept me nice and warm!

What a turn of events!!!!!
The Eagles hired Chip Kelly today after he initially turned down the team (I think a week ago). I was wishy-washy about it the whole time, on one hand I wanted a Defensive mind, but at the same time I wanted someone who could take advantage of the current offensive talent (minus the QB position).
It was believed that the Eagles were turned down by 3 high profile college coaches (Chip Kelly, O’brien, and Brian Kelly). It was also said that the Eagles were being used to get raises by their current employers. However, it sounds like the eagles used Brian Kelly to lure back Chip. and it seems to of worked.
Was also reading that the big sticking point in the first meeting was that the Eagles didn’t want to give an unproven commodity in Chip Kelly, the keys to the franchise by giving him say over personnel, just like Andy Reid had.
It will be interesting to see who they hire at DC. Look for it to be like a second head coach. Kelly will handle the Offense, and the DC will basically be a second HC and will handle the Defense.
This is a classic High Risk High Reward move. The Eagles will look like geniuses if it works out, but will look like absolute fools if it doesn’t work out. It will be interesting to see where we are at a few years down the road.
Until next time.
I wanted to go out to the property to see how much snow there was out there this time of year. But because they don’t plow the roads out there in the winter, and because I don’t have a snowmobile, I had to snow shoe in. Which I estimate is about a 1.5 mile walk. So I pushed the Toyota in there as far as I could, and started walking.
I’ve never used snow shoes before, so it was quite an adventure, I was told in advance to expect to go face first into the snow a few times, which I only did once.
Leaving the property
The only think I was a little disappointed with was that I didn’t get to look around the property more, but I was so exhausted from using those shoes that I needed to get back as soon as I could before I got too tired.
So Dad had dinner with us the other night, he was due to pick up a Tractor at Wilbur-Ellis here in Genesee the next morning. So, naturally, I was recruited to help. I don’t know where it was going, but I got to help him load it in the freezing cold temperatures. and by god, it was freaking cold!
Here are the pics.
Worked out pretty nice, although he busted a hose, and had to rigged it to get by til he could fix it properly.
